Provider status links
Provider settings now include more useful status information, including links to official provider status pages.
Improvement
Model changes refresh more smoothly
When model or provider settings change, the app updates more smoothly without needing a full restart in many cases.

Clearer stop and cancel behaviour
When a response is cancelled or interrupted, Player One reacts straight away and shows a clearer reason instead of looking like it is still processing.

Cleaner conversation branching
Rewind, fork and delete actions now keep the right context together more reliably, so the agent has a cleaner view of what is still relevant.
New
Faster agent switching
Chat now includes quicker ways to move between agents, with agent lists ranked by recent activity so the most useful options are easier to find.
Improvement
Cleaner direct agent links
Direct chat routes for agents are cleaner, making it easier to open the right conversation from links or saved shortcuts.

When an update finishes applying, the completion state stays visible until dismissed, so it is less likely to be missed.

Clearer Jobs empty and failed states
The Jobs area now handles empty and failed states more clearly.

Improvement
One operation at a time
Only one active operation can run against the same instance at once, reducing clashes and confusing outcomes.
Improvement
Clearer deployment snapshots
The admin platform now keeps a clearer snapshot of what was deployed for each instance, making future upgrades easier to reason about.

Grok sign-in, smarter long chats and a faster, friendlier interface

Major release

Reconnected chats, smarter models and a friendlier Jobs view

We rescued nearly a thousand stuck chats, made model switching smarter and safer, gave Jobs a friendlier feel, and tightened up mobile, branding and published pages across the board.

New
Broken chats reconnect automatically
Chats that had drifted from their agent session and stopped responding now reconnect safely on their own at boot, with no action needed from you.
Improvement
One-step, safer recovery
Chat recovery is now a single atomic operation instead of several manual steps, so there is no half-finished state to get stuck in. On our test gateway, 1,043 chats reconnected in a single pass.
Improvement
Orphaned-chat safety net
The rare chat that still slips through is caught and offered as a one-click adopt, rather than failing quietly.
New
Claude Opus 4.8 is the new default
New conversations now start on Claude Opus 4.8, with the model catalogue managed centrally rather than pinned per build.
Improvement
Smarter model picker
The picker now shows each model context window and disables models too small to hold your current chat, so you cannot switch into a broken state.
Improvement
Model config drift warning
A boot-time check warns immediately if model routing has drifted out of date, instead of failing on first use.
Improvement
Friendlier Jobs view
The Job Selector opens on Active by default with a Needs input tab, live counts on each tab and friendly empty states.
Improvement
Clearer input requests
When a worker or the orchestrator needs your input it now appears as a proper card in chat, and the Needs your input banner lights up for both.
Improvement
Mobile pickers as bottom sheets
The model picker and agent selector now open as bottom sheets on mobile instead of fiddly nested menus.

Brand colour through mobile chat
The chat top bar picks up your brand colour properly, including the search bar text and icons, and the sidebar collapse tab is a cleaner outline.

Simpler settings and clearer dashboard
Technical settings tabs are tucked away to keep day-to-day settings clean, and the dashboard now shows agent subtitles so it is clearer what each agent is for.

Improvement
Better published pages
Pages an agent builds for you now update faster with exact-string edits, preview live as they are edited, and full multi-file sites with their own assets can be served as a proper site.
Improvement
Cloud sync reliability
The cloud sync helper can now correctly see and sync your workspace files with connected storage like Google Drive or Dropbox, fixing cases where sync silently did nothing.
Fix
Quality fixes
The chat composer caps at 8 rows so long messages do not swallow the chat, the floating preview refresh and close buttons work, New chat reliably starts fresh, a Flowdown linter hang was fixed, and a caching bug that left people on stale UI after a deploy was removed.
