Cookies and Local Storage

Last updated: 11 September 2026

1. Our approach

Player One uses a small amount of browser storage only where the service needs it: to keep you signed in, protect your account, preserve drafts and chat recovery, and remember your preferences.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We do not show a cookie banner because we do not use storage that would need your consent.

2. Storage on the marketing website (1p.dev)

The marketing website sets no cookies of its own. We measure traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, may set its own security cookies (for example to tell a browser from an automated attack); these are strictly necessary for delivering the site securely and are not used for tracking.

3. Storage in the Player One product (your instance and my.1p.dev)

Our payment processor may set its own cookies on the checkout page for fraud prevention and to complete your payment; those are strictly necessary for the payment and are governed by the processor's own policy.

4. Third-party content

Google Fonts. Our pages request font files from Google. That request includes your IP address. We have not observed Google setting cookies through it.

Vimeo. Testimonial and demonstration videos are embedded from Vimeo, and the player loads only when you choose to play a video. Nothing from Vimeo loads before that. We pass Vimeo's Do Not Track parameter (dnt=1) on every player URL, which is Vimeo's documented setting for limiting tracking in embedded players, and we have not observed tracking cookies being set when it is used. Video thumbnails are loaded as images from a third-party image host, which receives your IP address as part of that request.

5. Managing browser storage

You can clear or block cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage in your browser settings. Clearing essential storage may sign you out, reset your preferences or lose an unsaved draft.

6. Changes

We update this page when our use of browser storage changes, and update the date at the top.
