Release

Response caching for big token savings, plus smoother live conversations

A focused update that makes Player One cheaper and calmer to run. Response caching is now switched on for everyone, cutting token use straight away - most of all on longer threads - and live conversations have been made more fluid and reliable.

Improvement
More fluid live conversations
Talking to Player One in real time is smoother and more advanced, with steadier handling of interruptions and replies that flow more naturally as they arrive.
New
See your token usage as you chat
Each chat now shows a running total of the tokens used, so you can keep an eye on cost in real time - and with caching enabled, watch it stay lower on long threads.
Improvement
Polished mobile chat
Mobile conversations scroll more reliably, spacing and controls sit better, and the composer and menus have had a further tidy for comfortable use on a phone.
Release

Projects, a faster redesigned interface and stronger safety limits

This is a big one. You can now organise everything in Player One into Projects, the whole interface has been redesigned and made noticeably faster, and new resource and hosting safeguards keep your instance stable and within its limits. There are also fresh models and providers, cleaner device management and improved voice conversations.

New
A redesigned, faster interface
The whole interface has been decluttered and the menus rebuilt, with a redesigned header and tabs. Many screens now feel several times faster, menus open instantly, and mobile has had a thorough pass.
New
Resource safety built in
Player One now watches its own disk, memory and processing use. When things run high it eases off new work rather than crashing, and it will not attempt tasks your machine cannot handle - so a heavy request can no longer take the whole instance down.
New
Clear hosting boundaries
A hosting policy is now enforced: agents refuse prohibited content and flag files that must be removed, and large installs or downloads are checked against your available space before they run.
Improvement
Fresh models and steadier providers
Newer models are available and the provider catalogues have been refreshed, with grouping fixes and more reliable usage indicators. A muted provider can be silenced so a repeated error no longer nags you.
Improvement
Cleaner device management
System devices are now kept separate from your own browsers and devices, so you can review and revoke old ones safely without disturbing how the platform runs.
Improvement
Better voice conversations
Voice chat gained speak-back and auto-submit modes, more reliable playback of spoken replies, and steadier handling of interruptions for a more natural back-and-forth.
Improvement
Live view of your agents at work
A new activity view shows which agents are working right now, with clearer dashboard cards and unread indicators so you never miss an agent updating something.
Improvement
Keep reading during restarts
When Player One restarts after an update you can carry on reading the page you were on instead of being locked out, and backups now capture all the new project data.
Release

Agent teams, a redesigned Forge and smarter coding help

This release is about your agents working together properly. Teams now have a real shape - who does what, and who should pick up each kind of work - the Agent Forge has been redesigned around a simpler creation journey, and coding assistants set themselves up with far less fuss.

New
Agent teams with real roles
Describe who is on a team, what each agent does and who should pick up each kind of work. Agents use the shared team page to route work to the best-suited teammate.
Improvement
Smarter coding assistants
Claude Code, Codex and Gemini now set themselves up more automatically, and coding or research work is routed to a model suited to it rather than the chat default.
Improvement
Clearer memory spaces
Memory spaces now carry clear titles and short summaries of what each one is for, and agents connect to the right ones more reliably - so past decisions and notes surface when they should.
Improvement
Safer customer-facing agents
Sandboxed agents received a major safety pass: tighter tool access and stronger verification before a tool is offered, so public-facing agents only use what they are allowed to.
Improvement
Better search for specialists
Agent and template search now matches natural wording better, so finding the right specialist - yours or from the gallery - feels more relevant.
Improvement
Fresher avatars and a calmer sidebar
A larger pool of purpose-made avatars with no reused faces, plus clearer active-chat highlighting, steadier chat titles and a Help option in the mobile menu.
